Character

Stout setae (bristles) on mesoscutal mid lobe [51]

Description

The concept of bristle versus seta is difficult to define because the difference is only one of relative size. We consider bristles as stouter setae that are clearly differentiated from smaller and thinner setae on other parts of the dorsal surface of the mesosoma.
