Hypochaeta of fore wing [151]

Description

In Mymaridae, the hypochaeta is a posteriorly directed seta on the ventral surface of the fore wing that originates from the membrane anterior to the parastigma between two macrochaeta (hy, Fig. 6m). Mymarids usually have a single hypochaeta. Citations: Schauff (1984: 47); Gibson (1986: 613).
