Character Details

Character

Dorsal metacoxal surface [194]

Description

This character was introduced by Gibson (2003) to describe variation within Cleonyminae (Pteromalidae). It is not the same as the subapical ridge found in some taxa, which is instead likely a modification for reception of the femur. Citations: Gibson (2003: 44); Gates (2008: 25).
