MPS elevation relative to antennal surface in female [14]

Description

The MPS are often sunk below or flush with the surface of the antenna in outgroups that have MPS (Basibuyuk and Quicke, 1999). A few chalcidoids have been found with some sunken MPS, especially within Chalcididae; thus state 1 is not consistent for all Chalcidoidea. Citation: Heraty (2002: 30).
