Description

In Chalcididae and Philomidinae, the labrum is generally a plate that is similar in appearance and properties to other exposed cuticle of the head. In other Chalcidoidea, the labrum is composed of thinner and more flexible cuticle different from that of the face and body. Citation: Darling (1988).
